College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts is the bedrock of undergraduate education at The University of West Alabama.  Its award-winning faculty give students a solid grounding in history, art, music, literature, psychology, political science, journalism, and many other Liberal Arts areas.  In these and other Liberal Arts courses, students acquire and enhance skills and knowledge that prepare them for success in advanced courses and, in turn, for careers or graduate and professional study.

The College of Liberal Arts also includes a variety of programs and activities, such as the Honors program, band, choir, the campus newspaper, theatre, and the radio and television broadcast program, which provides students with many opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom.
