For over 170 years the Julia Tutwiler College of Education has been preparing students for a career in teaching. Non-teaching programs in Athletic Training and Physical Education are also offered. Professors in every program provide students with rich practical experiences and personal attention in and out of the classroom. The College of Education's accreditation includes The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, The Alabama State Department of Education and the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic
Training Education.
