The Biology major provides valuable training for numerous
careers, such as agronomy, physiology, environmental
sciences, public health, horticulture; various medical
professions; including physicians, dentists, and
veterinarians, and the allied health professions. The
Biology program may also lead into graduate work and
specialization in teaching and research. Extensive
laboratory and/or field work is a component of many of the
advanced courses. This gives students opportunity to
experience, first hand, living systems in process and to
learn techniques of collecting, preserving and identifying
organisms.
